The main point of the story is that in a big company, especially in the news paper making industry, there are great restrictions against photo cropping. There was a test site where they were testing the launches of four missiles, and of those four, one of the missiles failed to launch. So the photographer took the shots, left and edited the pictures, and in doing so he lied and said that the missile launching test was a complete success by duplicating one of the missiles. Overall the main point was that photo cropping and editing a picture is unacceptable.
I think it is unethical because there are some instances where it could be useful. Then again there are some industries, or test sites that will or might pay a photographer to make it look like a successful thing especially if it would effect there funding's.
